ur park system\, Jefferson County Open Space is currently updating the acc
ess and trailheads component of the South Table Mountain Park Plan. This p
lan proposes a new main trailhead at Denver West and improvements to acces
s points on Golden Hills Road and Rimrock Drive. As part of the ongoing pu
blic engagement about these potential improvements\, Jefferson County Open
Space held a stakeholder listening tour this spring and a virtual communi
ty meeting on April 8. The community meeting kicked off a 30-day public co
mment period to solicit feedback on proposed plans.

tep in these efforts\, Jefferson County Open Space and the City of Golden
will be co-hosting a virtual community meeting on June 22
at 6 p.m. to discuss design alternatives for the access

\nThe United States Marine Corps Memorial Foundation will hold
the annual ceremony for Veterans Day on Saturday\, November 6 at 2 p.m.
\nThe ceremony\, honoring veterans and the 100 year anniversary of the
Tomb of the Unknown Soldier\, will feature Guest Speaker Cmdr. Jason Pratt
\, USN (Retired) along with a music program. The 13 US troops fallen on Au
gust 26th will also be honored\, and a parade float of the Tomb of the Unk
nown Soldier will be on site.

expanded to collect donations for the Toys for Tots program.

ruction and renovation will begin in Summer 2022\, with the first phase do
ne by Fall 2023 and final completion by Fall 2024.
