The United St ates Marine Corps Memorial Foundation will hold the annual ceremony for Ve terans Day on Saturday\, November 6 at 2 p.m.
\nThe ceremony\, honoring veterans and the 100 year anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier\ , will feature Guest Speaker Cmdr. Jason Pratt\, USN (Retired) along with a music program. The 13 US troops fallen on August 26th will also be honor ed\, and a parade float of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier will be on site .

\nThe Golden Ye ars Reception on October 13 gathered important feedback from older adults in our community\, many of whom want to be engaged in the planning of Gold en Community Center and The Front Porch activities. We are excited to begi n our collaboration to plan these fun opportunities!
\nCity staff wi ll offer several focus group sessions on November 3\, 2023\, based on feedback received at the reception. These focus groups will b e held in a smaller space\, more conducive to conversation and listening s o everyone can hear and be heard.
\nAdvanced sign-up for these 45-mi nute sessions is required. To accommodate the room size and allow for bett er conversation\, each group will be limited to 20 people. If a session re aches capacity\, we will add additional sessions on the same topic.
