  • Golden, Colo. — August 20, 2012 — The City of Golden will host a fireworks show on Saturday, Aug. 25, the same day that the USA Pro Cycling Challenge Stage 6 starts in Golden. This is the rescheduled fireworks show that traditionally happens on the 4th of July. Due to extreme dry conditions, Golden had to postpone the fireworks.

Golden is the place to be on Saturday, Aug. 25. The USA Pro Cycling Challenge will start Stage 6 right under the “Welcome” arch in historic downtown Golden at 11:10 a.m. Once they leave Golden, you can watch the entire race on a giant JumboTron in Parfet Park, just a few steps away from downtown. Stick around for live music after the race, including a free concert by The Samples.

Once it’s dark, you can catch the spectacular fireworks show. The best places to view the fireworks will be Lions Park and Lions Ball Fields. All events are free and open to the public.
