  • GOLDEN, Colo. – A 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding hillsides and intimate, rarely seen close-ups of Golden are among the spectacular features on view now at a new photography exhibit at the Golden History Center, 923 10th St.

Golden Full CircleGolden Full Circle: Photos by Scott Dressel-Martin will be one of several exhibits open to the public through the end of 2012.

Dressel-Martin calls this show “a personal visual exploration of Golden. It’s about finding the unexpected moments, the juxtaposition of old Golden and new Golden, the unconventional views of the bits of Golden we see every day.”

Dressel-Martin continues, “I’m not trying to create a travelogue of images that would be used to market Golden as much as I’m exploring the town and trying to understand the visual context of the community in a different light.”

Scott uses his technical and aesthetic skills, passions and knowledge to create images that touch viewers and inspire them to venture out to create their own experiences. Photography is his ticket to the world and it is very much the context within which he experiences life.

The Golden History Center is open each week Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and Sunday from noon – 4:30 p.m. Admission is $3, and kids 5 and under are free. Golden History Museums members are also free.

Call (303) 278-3557 for more information, or visit GoldenHistory.org.
