Vanover Park Improvements Public Meeting
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will host a Public Meeting on June 19, 2012 at 7 p.m. at the Golden Community Center to review concepts and park elements for improvements to Vanover Park.
A Master Plan priority, in 2011 the City of Golden Parks and Recreation Department applied for and was awarded a Joint Venture Grant with match from Jefferson County Open Space for the development of a playground to activate Vanover Park. With a limited budget and a citizen initiated desire to keep Vanover as natural as possible, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board has been working with Winston and Associates and staff to develop concepts for the future of the park.
The Vanover Park Public Meeting will include an opportunity for public comment on a conceptual plan and review and selection of natural playground elements. Download a pdf of the conceptual plan below.
