Buffalo Bill Days is Golden’s largest annual event, attracting more than 40,000 visitors to town. The event dates back to the 1940′s and began as a trail ride up Lookout Mountain to Buffalo Bill’s grave.
Since then, the festivities have expanded each year, and it is now the largest community festival held in Golden. This wholesome, small-town community event draws people from all around.
This year’s activities include Cody’s Wild West show, the “Best of the West” Parade, Muttin’ Bustin’ (for children 5 to 7), live music, an orphan car and a classic car show, a golf tournament, food and merchandise vendors, and much more. It all begins Wednesday, July 25, 2012 with a golf tournament at Fossil Trace Golf Club.
