    • Friday Fun ClubThe new Friday Fun Club program for our community youth club offers WII exercise gaming systems, sports games, dancing and a DJ, games, prizes, climbing, swimming and much more. For a small additional fee, refreshments are available.

    Each new season (Sept – May), a parent or guardian MUST fill out and sign new waivers before dropping off their children.

     

    Friday Fun Club Program Information

    • Friday Fun Club for 2011 begins Friday, Sept 9 and runs through Friday May 11.
    • Ages accepted: 8 – 14 years, NO EXCEPTIONS!
    • Time: 7pm – 10:30pm, Friday during the school year
    • NO programming will be offered on: Oct 28, Nov 25, Dec 23 & 30, Mar 30

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Do I need to sign my own child in when I drop off?

    Only if you have not filled out new paperwork for the season. If this is your child’s first visit for the current school year, you must sign a Friday Fun Club waiver (pdf) and a Golden Community Center waiver (pdf). These forms may be filled out by parents before someone brings the child in. Otherwise, forms are available during drop off.

    Can a different person pick up my child other than the person who signed them in?

    Yes.

    What does my child need to bring?

    Your child should bring a lock to lock up their valuables, and a towel and swimsuit if they plan on swimming. Tennis shoes are required for the gym (no black soles).

    Does my child need to bring extra cash?

    Snacks, candy, pop and prizes are available all night.

    What is the dress code?

    Youth may not wear swimwear outside the pool. No revealing tops. Pants must not show undergarments.

    What kind of music is played by the DJ?

    All music is suitable for the children. No music will be played that includes  profanity or obscenities. Dirty dancing and/or close dancing is prohibited.

    How is the supervision?

    Friday Fun Club provides a ratio of 1 adult per 20 kids, plus one police officer and one Golden Community Center facility supervisor.

    Can parents walk around during the program?

    Yes, parents are encouraged to observe the program.

    Can I drop off and pick up early?

    Yes. The fee remains at $10 cash no matter when you drop off the child.

    What if I am late picking up my child?

    Late fees do apply at $5 per minute late.

    Is this a licensed child care program?

    No.
