A Blue Ribbon Panel on Golden’s Economic Future was established by City Council on December 1, 2011.

Purpose of the Blue Ribbon Panel

Evaluate the potential gap between the level of revenues the City of Golden currently expects over the next two decades, and the costs of maintaining or enhancing the current level of high quality services and amenities.
Offer the community a range of options for minimizing that gap.

The Blue Ribbon Panel initially convened in March 2012, with the goal of presenting a report to the City Council in July. Meetings are on Wednesdays from 4:30-6pm at City Hall. The tentative meeting schedule is available as a pdf below. Following their final report to City Council, the panel will dissolve.

The Blue Ribbon Panel consists of 11 members. All Panel members reside in, work in, or own a business in Golden.
