    Obtaining a liquor license in the City of Golden is a privilege, not a right. Liquor licenses are issued by the State and the City of Golden. The City cannot issue the local license until the State has reviewed and approved the application and issued the State license. Please contact the City Clerk’s office for more information about this process.

    The Local Liquor Licensing Authority meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise noted. These meetings are open to the public and take place in City Council Chambers, 911 10th Street at 2:30 pm. For more information call (303) 384-8015.
    The Board is comprised of a Hearing Officer who is appointed by City Council.
