Parking Permit Process

Parking LotThe City of Golden transitioned to a more streamlined parking permit process in January 2017. Addresses within a permitted parking area (see maps below) should click the link to the parking permit portal.

In order to receive a parking permit, individuals will create an account and conveniently upload any required documentation as outlined below:

  • Tenants: a current signed lease showing the tenants name, property address and landlord contact information.
  • Property Owners: a current property tax bill or utility bill showing name and property address.
  • Business Owners: Business owners are responsible for entering vehicle information for all employees to obtain a permit. To obtain a business permit, business owners must provide a current Golden Business License/Sales Tax License as documentation.

All individuals meeting the above requirements will also need to upload a current vehicle registration a provide the license plate number and description (make, model, year, color). Each vehicle must have a current registration on file before a permit will be issued.

Applicants who do not have access to a computer or who need additional assistance are welcome to come to City Hall, 911 10th St., to complete a form and supply the required information. Parking personnel will review the documentation and help complete the registration process for you.

Currently, the 5 residential areas included in the parking program are as follows:

  • CSM North – Zone 1
  • CSM South – Zone 2
  • Golden High School Zone
  • 9th Street Neighborhood – Zone 1
  • 9th Street East End – Zone 2

Parking permits are issued by the City to residents/businesses of these neighborhoods, within the permit area and are required for parking. Please see maps below for dates and times of enforcement.
