Golden Informer

August 2010
August 2010

Recognizing the need to communicate regularly with citizens, the City of Golden publishes its own monthly community newsletter called The Golden Informer.

The goal of the Informer is to bring timely information to Golden residents and businesses about what the City government is up to. We know that not everyone has time to attend City Council meetings each Thursday – not to mention that not everyone is interested in everything covered at those meetings (don’t tell city staff that!).

The Informer is published by the City to help you understand what direction your elected officials are providing to city staff and the status of City projects being undertaken with public monies. We also hope to give you enlightening information about day to day operations of the City, inform you about fun upcoming family events, give you tips on safety, and remind you of classes and activities at your local recreational facilities.

The Golden Informer is the proud winner of the prestigious
national first place 2005 and 2007 Savvy award and second place 2006 Silver Circle Award for city- and county-produced external printed newsletters given by the City and County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA).

We encourage you to let us know your thoughts and suggestions for how we can continue to improve the Informer and other City communications. Contact Communications Manager Karlyn Tilley at 303-384-8132.

If you live inside Golden city limits (which is different than having a Golden mailing address in unincorporated Jefferson County), you will automatically receive a copy of the Informer in your mail by the first of each month. If you happen to live outside the City limits but are interested, you may pick up a copy at City Hall, 911 10th St., or download a PDF below. We have made current and past editions available here in pdf format. Some of the files are rather large (2 MB or more), so patience may be required while they download.
