USA Pro Challenge

A Start to Remember!

Riders at the start

Welcome to all of the information you need to enjoy a great race weekend in August! The City of Golden is excited to once again be the host of the Stage 7 start for the USA Pro Challenge and we’ll be bringing you a day of fun and excitement in downtown Golden!

Golden hosted the stage start in 2011, the inaugural year of the race. That year, many said it was the largest stage start they had even seen in men’s pro cycling!

This year, in addition to hosting the final stage start of the 7-day race, Golden will also host the finish for the first-ever Women’s USA Pro Challenge race. This elite, invitation-only women’s race will take place over three days, kicking off in Breckenridge on August 21 and ending in Golden on August 23.

We are looking forward to hosting another great event!

Golden will host the Stage 7 start on Sunday, August 23, 2015. While the start time has yet to be determined, spectators can plan on events downtown under the arch and in Parfet Park from about 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The women’s elite race will conclude before the Stage 7 start commences. We will post the start time as soon as it is available.

Our portion of the race has been incredibly successful because of the generous support of our stage sponsors. Are you interested in being a local stage sponsor for Golden? Contact Julie Brooks to find out how you can support our efforts.

We will continue to post more information as we get it! If you are interested in volunteering for Golden’s portion of the stage, please contact Julie Brooks at
