The Golden Library is the oldest public library still operating in Jefferson County. The library moved to its current location along Clear Creek Trail in 1996, making it an easy walking and biking destination for residents, and popular with visitors summering at the nearby Clear Creek RV campground. The Golden Library features a collection of about 88,000 items, including an excellent collection of historic photos from Golden’s pioneer days.
In addition to a large collection of print, visual, and audio media available for check out, visitors are also welcome to take advantage of the library’s free, high-speed wireless Internet access, or use one of the 13 public-access computers.

Monday, Tuesday: 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Wednesday, Thursday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday, Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
