As of July 3, 2019, Clear Creek is closed to tubing and swimming Access to the creek is restricted due to dangerous water conditions. More information about the restrictions can be found here.
- The Annual Lions Club July 4th Celebration begins in Lions Park at 11 am. More information about the event can be found here.
- Fireworks at 9:30 pm – The City of Golden fireworks display will begin at 9:30 pm, weather and fire conditions permitting. The best viewing areas are in Lions Park, at the Ballfields on 10th Street, between Illinois and Maple, and along the Clear Creek Trail. For updates about the fireworks, watch the City of Golden Facebook page and other City social media sites.
- An important reminder from the Golden Fire Department – leave the fireworks to the professionals! As per City Ordinance, all fireworks are prohibited, even those that are allowed in the unincorporated areas of the County. This includes items commonly known as sparklers, cones, fountains, glow worms, snakes, smoke bombs and ground spinners.
