Golden Bike Cruise 2023 @ Calvary Church Parking Garage
May 30 @ 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Golden Bike Cruise sign drapes over a brick wall with event-goers gathered and mingling in the background.The Golden Bike Cruise is back with fun costume-themed rides, live music, beer, raffles and prizes.

The event takes place on the last Tuesday of the month, May through September. Kegs are tapped at 5:30 p.m., the Cruise begins at 6:30 p.m., and the fun continues until 9 p.m!

Riders begin and end on the upper deck of the Calvary Church parking garage at 818 14th St.

Planning Commission Meeting @ Council Chambers

The Planning Commission, established in 1948, affords residents the opportunity to actively participate in the planning of the city and its welfare; to learn all facets of the regulations governing such functions; interact with a wide variety of citizens participating in the shaping of Golden’s future; and assume an active role in any regulation changes involving zoning and subdivision activity.

Planning Commission meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise noted on the calendar.

Economic Development Commission (EDComm) Meeting @ Council Chambers

The Economic Development Commission (EDComm) was established by Golden City Council in June of 1999 and consists of seven members. The purpose of the Economic Development Commission is to provide leadership, education, and the tools necessary for the Golden community to optimize appropriate economic opportunities. Their duties include developing a structure and strategy for marketing/promoting the Golden community.

Parks, Recreation & Museums Advisory Board Meeting @ Council Chambers

The Parks, Recreation & Museums Advisory Board was created to increase community involvement, and to advise Golden City Council and staff on how to best provide safe and comprehensive parks, recreation and museum facilities, programs, and services on behalf of all current and future residents of the City of Golden.

The board consists of seven members and one alternate who serve four-year terms, making suggestions about policies and procedures, fees and charges, acceptance of park land, design of parks, and other projects relating to the Parks and Recreation Department.

COG Mesa

 Golden was named after Thomas L. Golden,
a gold prospector who arrived in Jefferson County in 1858.
