The Historic Preservation Board has a number of responsibilities regarding the preservation and upkeep of Golden’s many historic sites.

The Board meets in Council Chambers on the second Wednesday evening of each month in public hearing at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted on the calendar. Study sessions may be scheduled as needed.

A juried art festival sponsored by the Foothills Art Center.  The festival features over 70 regional and national artists working in ceramic, jewelry, and mixed-media of all kinds. Located right downtown, within walking distance to restaurants and beer gardens in historic downtown Golden.

The Golden Bike Cruise is back with fun costume-themed rides, live music, beer, raffles and prizes.

The event takes place on the last Tuesday of the month, May through September. Kegs are tapped at 5:30 p.m., the Cruise begins at 6:30 p.m., and the fun continues until 9 p.m!

Riders begin and end on the upper deck of the Calvary Church parking garage at 818 14th St.

The Public Art Commission (PAC) has the responsibility of promoting, selecting, acquiring and maintaining public art in the fulfillment of the City’s Art in Public Places program.

PAC meets on the first Thursday of each month from 9 to 10:30 a.m. These meeting are open to the public.
