Historic Preservation Board Meeting @ Virtual Meeting

The Historic Preservation Board has a number of responsibilities regarding the preservation and upkeep of Golden’s many historic sites.

The Board meets on the first Monday evening of each month in public hearing at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted on the calendar. Study sessions may be scheduled the third Monday of each month.

National Night Out - August 2The Golden Police Department invite you to our 19th annual National Night Out event from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6 in Parfet Park on the corner of 10th Street and Washington Avenue. Join us for live music, performances, raffle prizes, free food and drink, and much more!

National Night Out is an annual community event that promotes police-community partnerships in a fun and relaxing environment.

Planning Commission Meeting @ Virtual Meeting

The Planning Commission, established in 1948, affords residents the opportunity to actively participate in the planning of the City and its welfare; to learn all facets of the regulations governing such functions; interact with a wide variety of citizens participating in the shaping of Golden’s future; and assume an active role in any regulation changes involving zoning and subdivision activity.

Planning Commission public hearings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Planning Commission Study Sessions recur on the third Wednesday of each month.

Economic Development Commission Meeting @ Virtual Meeting

The Economic Development Commission (EDComm) was established by Golden City Council in June of 1999 and consists of seven members. The purpose of the Economic Development Commission is to provide leadership, education, and the tools necessary for the Golden community to optimize appropriate economic opportunities. Their duties include developing a structure and strategy for marketing/promoting the Golden community.

29th Annual Golden Fine Arts Festival @ Downtown Golden

Fine Arts FestivalA Golden icon for nearly three decades, Golden Fine Arts Festival is a prestigious juried art show located in the heart of historic downtown Golden.

With its prime location and free admission to the public, this premier event draws over 35,000 visitors over 2 days to enjoy art, live performances, craft beer, food vendors, and children’s activities.

The established art fair will be limited to 136 artists selected through a competitive jury process. Cash prizes are awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners in nine categories, as well as Best of Show and Best of Colorado honors.
