Virtually Golden – Virtual Lunch Series @ Virtual Meeting

Golden United presents a fun and entertaining Golden-centric series called “Virtually Golden.” The series takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Today’s Speaker is Donna Anderson, who will talk about the 1889 White Ash Mine Disaster in Golden.

Have your lunch virtually with other Goldenites learning about Golden and our local talent. Join via Zoom and don’t forget to order take-out from one of the local restaurants.  For a list of restaurants offering carry away service, check out the Visit Golden Take Out Take Over web page.

The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is a special district entity authorized and directed by state statute to benefit the economic and community vitality of the downtown area. The DDA will also be authorized to provide tax increment economic incentives to eligible redevelopment projects, much like GURA was able to do in the past.

The DDA meets at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.

The Local Liquor Licensing Authority meets on the third Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noted. These meetings are open to the public and take place in City Council Chambers, 911 10th Street at 2:30 p.m.

The board consists of seven members and one alternate who serve four-year terms, making suggestions about policies and procedures, fees and charges, acceptance of park land, design of parks, and other projects relating to the Parks and Recreation Department.
