The Colorado Cowboy Gathering (CCG) is dedicated to exploring, presenting and preserving the diverse and dynamic cultural heritage of the American West. CCG celebrates the wisdom, artistry and ingenuity of western folkways through exhibitions, statewide outreach educational programs, and a premier annual event held in January – a vital link to the past, present and future, and where the traditions of the cowboy and the Code of the West are shared through stories, poetry, song and verse.
Celebrating the Contributions & Achievements of Women in Golden and throughout Jefferson County! International Women’s Day got its start at the turn of the twentieth century in North America and across Europe as part of the labor movement. The day was first marked 109 years ago, and today hundreds of communities around the globe celebrate the many contributions and achievements of women everywhere, while noting improvements that are needed to improve life for women, children and men worldwide. This year, in keeping with the objective of the United Nations for gender parity in all careers, we are focusing on the future of women in STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. We are proud to be working with the Golden Library and DECTech at the Colorado School of Mines to recognize young women (grades 5 – 8) with the “Girls in STEM” awards at our luncheon event.

VAN-DEMONIUM is your chance to drool over vans and draw inspiration for your own adventure rig! Adventure rigs come in many shapes and sizes—from Sprinters with all the bells and whistles to the family mini-van with a home done conversion. 
This event will have vans on vans, plus beer, live music, games, and raffles so there’s something for every member of the family.

Whether riding the Giddyup event or not, this event in Lions Park offers a day of fun in the sun. Enjoy bluegrass, beers, and bike-time on Sunday, September 16 with dozens of great bike brands displaying their wares. This family-friendly event includes a kids’ bike course from Avid4Adventure, shenanigans from REI, food trucks, beer and whiskey.
For the second year, the Giddyup has teamed up with New Terrain Brewery who are making tasty brew just for this event, with proceeds from the sales supporting the Golden Giddyup’s trail efforts.

The Colorado Arts & Crafts Society presents a day of demonstrations, workshops and presentations from local artisans. There will also be an opportunity to purchase artists’ wares, including everything from ceramics to jewelry to woodwork.
