Santa is coming by the Golden Police Department on Wednesday, December 11 and wants to meet you!
Come get your picture taken with Santa and meet police officers with the Golden Police Department. Officers will also be collecting letters and making sure Santa receives them. There will be snacks, coloring, crafts and much more holiday fun!

Join in the holiday spirit and watch floats, clowns, festive holiday characters, and Santa Claus on the firetruck parade down Washington Avenue. After the parades, head to the downtown area shops and restaurants. Each parade is different, providing the perfect reason to bring the family back to Golden again and again!

Although the annual Candlelight Walk is cancelled, the holiday spirit will still be illuminated throughout Golden.
On Dec. 4 at 7 p.m., there will be a virtual live stream of Golden Mayor Laura Weinberg throwing the switch to illuminate downtown Golden’s annual holiday lights. From their homes, Golden residents are invited to share their Golden light by placing candles in their windows and displaying all season long in festive citywide solidarity.
To make sure your house gets a commemorative candle, call the Golden Chamber of Commerce at 303-279-3113 or stop by On Tap Credit Union, 816 Washington Avenue (while supplies last), after Nov. 30 to pick one up.

Join VFW Post 4171 and the Golden American Legion Post this Memorial Day at the Golden Cemetery in honoring those who died in active military service.
The service will begin at 11 a.m.
Golden Mayor Laura Weinberg will offer brief remarks, along with Lakewood Council members from Ward 1 and 3, and a short ceremony will follow.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be canceled.
A Golden icon for three decades, Golden Fine Arts Festival is a prestigious juried art show located in the heart of historic downtown Golden, Colorado happening August 21-22.
With its prime location just 20 minutes west of Metro Denver and free admission to the public, this premier event traditionally draws over 30,000 visitors (pre-COVID) over 2 days to enjoy art, live entertainment, beer and wine gardens, and food vendors.
The event, rich in community tradition and a well-established reputation, is limited to 100 artist booth spaces. If social distancing restrictions are in place, booth spaces may be limited further. Artists are selected through a competitive jury process selected by art professionals. Traditionally, over half of participating artists travel to Golden from outside of the state of Colorado. Colorado is also home to many talented artists who participate at the event each year. Cash prizes are awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners in nine categories, as well as Best of Show and Best of Colorado honors.
