This family-friendly event, sponsored by the Golden Community Commons group, takes place on the last Tuesday of the month, May through September.
Gather at Calvary Church’s Celebration Plaza at 5:30 p.m. for music, food, raffles and New Terrain Brewery on site serving beer and cider. A themed, costumed bike cruise heads off at 6:30 p.m. for a ride around Golden before heading back to the Plaza for more fun that continues until 9 p.m.

Presented by the Golden Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Coors Distributing Company, the Golden Beer Tasting & Chili Cook-Off is a celebration of all things beer, chili and fun!
Ticketed guests enjoy an afternoon of fun with unlimited beer and chili samples (as long as supplies last), entertainment, snack vendors and the Beer & Chili Awards Ceremony!

The Mines Museum of Earth Science is having their annual Spoooktacular event on October 15th, 2022, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Spooktacular is a super fun, FREE, blue pumpkin trick or treat event. People can come in their favorite costumes, enjoy STEM themed hands-on activities (and treats), win prizes, and take pictures with Ms. Colorado herself!

Put on your Halloween costume and come on down to downtown Golden for the annual Trick or Treat Street!
The City of Golden, in conjunction with the downtown merchants, invites all Golden school-aged kiddos to show off their costumes and collect some candy!

Homestead for the Holidays lets you experience the winter season just like the pioneers did. This family-friendly event will have you strolling through Golden History Park, taking in the colorful decorations, making a craft that you get to take home, and basking in the season. It’s time to go homestead for the holidays!
Valued volunteers make this event possible and will serve as interpreters within the historic structures to answer questions and guide your experience.

Come out to Golden’s newest city park, DeLong Park, for an Earth Day Celebration (rescheduled from April due to weather) held by volunteer DeLong Weedbusters from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 3.

The Golden Lions Club is hosting the 51st annual 4th of July community celebration in Lions Park. Activities kick off at 11 a.m. with music by three local bands, food, drink, children’s activities (including a hula hoop contest at 2:30 p.m.) and a raffle.
The day culminates in a fireworks display at approx. 9:30 p.m., weather and fire conditions permitting. Keep an eye on the City’s social media channels (Facebook and Twitter) for up-to-the-minute updates if a cancellation is necessary.
The celebration is a day for families, friends, and neighbors to gather in Lions Park to picnic or purchase food and drink. All raffle and festival proceed go to support the work that the Lions Club does in the community throughout the year.
Parking near the festival is extremely limited. The 8th, 9th and 10th Street neighborhood will be closed to through traffic and festival parking. Ride your bike or walk to the event if you are local.

- Colorado School of Mines Lot K (near Marv Kay Stadium) will be available for event parking on the 4th of July
Remember that all fireworks are ILLEGAL in the city limits of Golden, so leave the fireworks to the professionals. You can view the show from anywhere along the creek path, near Lions Park, and the Golden History Park.
