Memorial Day at Golden CemeteryJoin VFW Post 4171 in honoring those who died in active military service at the Golden Cemetery on Memorial Day. The service will begin at 11 a.m.

The Golden Investment Forum Task Force is charged with outreach to the community to review the community amenities, enhancements, and improvements proposed in recent years to determine the amount of community support for these proposals.

Be on the lookout for news of one of the many public forums that will be scheduled as the year progresses. All committee meetings are open to the public.

Summer Reading Kick-Off: Bubble Disco @ Golden Library Parking Lot

Bring your dancing shoes for a rockin’ outdoor Bubble Disco party to kick off Summer Reading at the Golden Library on June 1 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Crafts, bubbles and the Spark City Bus are part of the fun for the whole family!

Golden Housing Forum @ Foothills Art Center

Golden Housing ForumGolden United and Foothills Art Center are bringing together City of Golden staff, volunteers, businesses, city council members, and neighbors to talk about housing in Golden. We’ll discuss maintaining affordable housing, preserving the city’s character, and finding opportunities for action.

Golden Weekends @ Downtown Golden

Downtown GoldenEvery Friday and Saturday night from June 1 through August 31, 5 to 8 p.m., Golden’s downtown comes alive with activity for the whole family to enjoy.

Dozens of Golden businesses stay open until at least 8 p.m. and offer specials, in-store demonstrations, samples and more.

Live music on the street corners, free carriage rides, and merchant special activities bring the festivities outdoors onto the sidewalks and in stores and restaurants throughout the summer weekend evenings.

The Downtown Golden Merchant Partners (DGMP) is hosting the events, with support from the Downtown Development Authority, in appreciation of the Golden community.

Participating businesses will be marked by a gold balloon at their front doors. Golden Weekends will not take place during Buffalo Bill Days weekend nor on Super Cruise Saturdays.

Free parking during the evenings will make it easy for families and visitors to come enjoy Golden Weekends.
