Women's DayCelebrate women at the 4th annual Jeffco International Women’s Day on March 8 at Baldoria on the Water, 146 Van Gordon Street in Lakewood. The event is sponsored by the City of Golden, SCL Health Lutheran Hospital and IX Power Clean Water. Proceeds will benefit “Porchlight,” the new Jefferson & Gilpin County Family Justice Center.

Citizen Budget Advisory Committee @ Virtual Meeting

The Citizens Budget Advisory Committee (CBAC) was created by the City Manager to advise City staff on the development, implementation, and evaluation of the annual City budget. Participation in CBAC is an opportunity not only to advise on the prioritization of how City tax dollars are spent, but also to advise our policymakers in their decision-making process.

CBAC meets the third Wednesday of each month, March through October and the second Wednesday of November, at 7:30 a.m.

Rocky Mountain Storytelling 2019 Story Seeds Concert @ American Mountaineering Museum

story seeds conferenceRocky Mountain Storytelling (RMS) is a nonprofit, volunteer-led organization of storytellers, story listeners and story lovers based in Golden, CO. Their 2019 Story Seeds Conference takes place April 12 – 14 with a public concert open to all on April 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. The concert will feature Carolina Quiroga-Stultz, Angel Vigil, and Liz Weir.
