A Golden icon for nearly three decades, Golden Fine Arts Festival is a prestigious juried art show located in the heart of historic downtown Golden.
With its prime location and free admission to the public, this premier event draws over 35,000 visitors over 2 days to enjoy art, live performances, craft beer, food vendors, and children’s activities.
The established art fair will be limited to 136 artists selected through a competitive jury process. Cash prizes are awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners in nine categories, as well as Best of Show and Best of Colorado honors.

The Rotary Club of Golden and Jefferson Center have joined forces to present a free event at Bell Middle School, 1001 Ulysses Street on October 3 from 5 to 8:45 p.m. for the Golden community, providing resources and hands-on practical information for parents, caregivers and guardians to help children of all ages grow in positive ways.To register and read a description of all the classes available, visit www.jcmh.org/events/helpingkidsthrive.

Join the Golden Chamber of Commerce for pancakes with Santa! The event is from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Calvary Church, 1320 Arapahoe St. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the season with your little ones. Breakfast includes pancakes, orange juice, and coffee. All kids will receive a goody bag as part of the experience.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to listen to all of those wish lists! There will be Carol singing with Alli Coffey and holiday readings by Golden Children’s Librarian, Emily Vrotsos. Celebrity chefs from the Golden Volunteer Fire Department and Calvary Episcopal Church will cook up the breakfast.
Tickets must be purchased in advance at www.goldenchamber.org. Adults are $10, kids are $5, and children under three are free. No tickets will be sold at the door. A portion of the proceeds from Breakfast with Santa will go to the Golden Fire Foundation and Lunch and Life program for the Colorado School of mines free lunch program. Santa is coming by the Golden Police Department on Wednesday, December 11 and wants to meet you!
Come get your picture taken with Santa and meet police officers with the Golden Police Department. Officers will also be collecting letters and making sure Santa receives them. There will be snacks, coloring, crafts and much more holiday fun!
