Mobility & Transportation Advisory Board Meeting

The Mobility & Transportation Advisory Board offers a venue to evaluate the relationship between mobility of all types and the economy, sustainability, safety, land use, neighborhood integrity, and emergency response times; and study the importance of transportation access to health care, employment, education, housing, business, and recreational facilities.

MTAB meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

Zoning Rewrite Community Meeting
Jan 28 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

The zoning code rewrite consultants are making the finishing touches to the initial code draft and it will be available to the public in late January. You are invited to join a virtual community meeting on Jan. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. This meeting is intended to educate the community on the code’s contents and how it has been constructed. Upon the release of the draft, the community will have approximately one month to review it, make comments, and provide those comments to the Planning Division and the consultants for consideration.

Planning Commission Meeting

The Planning Commission, established in 1948, affords residents the opportunity to actively participate in the planning of the City and its welfare; to learn all facets of the regulations governing such functions; interact with a wide variety of citizens participating in the shaping of Golden’s future; and assume an active role in any regulation changes involving zoning and subdivision activity.

US6 & Heritage Interchange Open House

The second open house for the US6 & Heritage Interchange redesign will take place on Wednesday, February 24 at 6 p.m. The virtual meeting will include a presentation describing four alternatives for the interchange with an opportunity to ask questions and provide input. The login information for the open house is below.

Conversations About Mental Wellness @ Virtual

Conversations about Mental Wellness: What is wellness and how can we understand it?

Join the Golden Community Partners and Golden United for the first in a series of conversations about Mental Wellness.  The virtual event will feature the Jefferson Center’s community based support program, Colorado Spirit, which provides free and confidential mental health support during the COVID-19 health crisis.  Crisis counselors can help community members understand and manage stress and connect them with other support options.

Learn more about the organization and the resources it provides.

The event is free but registration is required.
