If you ordered a Garden In A Box kit, come out to pick up your kit between 12 and 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 15 during the Greener Golden Event at the Public Works and Planning Building (1445 10th St). Residents can also take advantage of FREE compost and vegetable seeds.

Golden Sustainability is pleased to also offer FREE electronics recycling for Golden residents at this year’s event! This drop-off event will last from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please bring a Colorado ID or driver’s license for verification of residency, be prepared to wear a mask, and social distance.

Join VFW Post 4171 and the Golden American Legion Post this Memorial Day at the Golden Cemetery in honoring those who died in active military service.

The service will begin at 11 a.m.

Golden Mayor Laura Weinberg will offer brief remarks, along with Lakewood Council members from Ward 1 and 3, and a short ceremony will follow.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be canceled.

Join the Golden United Housing Task Force for a special meeting — Housing is Preventative Medicine.

This Community Conversation, co-sponsored by Golden United and Golden Community Partners, will discuss the relationships between housing insecurity and mental and physical health on Thursday, June 3 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. via Zoom.
