Bike & Pedestrian Master Plan Open House @ Council Chambers

Cycling in GoldenGolden is already recognized as a regional cycling destination with access to the foothills. On summer weekends, thousands of residents and visitors enjoy walking through Downtown Golden and along Clear Creek. To address the needs of managing Golden’s growing popularity for pedestrians and bicyclists, Golden Planning staff, with the help of Muller Engineering, is working to develop a Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan that will provide the groundwork to ensure everyone—residents, visitors and commuters—has access to safe and efficient multimodal travel. More than just infrastructure, the Plan will focus on expanding our walking and biking culture through partnerships, programs and policy.

We want to hear from our community as we kick off this effort. Join us for a Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan Open House on Tuesday, August 30 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Council Chambers. You can also take a survey and get involved on GuidingGolden.com.

A Spooktacular Event! @ Colorado School of Mines Earth Science Museum

Two boys work on a pumpkin with play tools.The Mines Museum of Earth Science is having their annual Spoooktacular event on October 15th, 2022, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Spooktacular is a super fun, FREE, blue pumpkin trick or treat event. People can come in their favorite costumes, enjoy STEM themed hands-on activities (and treats), win prizes, and take pictures with Ms. Colorado herself!

Homestead for the Holidays @ Golden History Park

This family-friendly event will have you strolling through Golden History Park, taking in the colorful decorations, making a craft that you get to take home, and basking in the season. It’s time to go homestead for the holidays!

Valued volunteers make this event possible and will serve as interpreters within the historic structures to answer questions and guide your experience.

Advance registration is required.

Golden Farmers Mini-Market @ Golden High School Upper Lot

GFD Safety Day @ Golden Fire Station 1

Come out to Fire Station #1 at 911 10th Street on Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a free, Fire Prevention Week Safety Day, sponsored with the help of local and regional partners.

Activities for all ages will be featured, including fire truck tours, live fire demonstrations, and the opportunity to practice hands-on fire safety skills with first responders.

Metro Denver Green Homes Tour @ American Mountaineering Center

GHS Holiday Bazaar @ Golden High School

GHS Holiday Bazaar is on Dec. 2 from 10 am to 3 pmCome do some holiday shopping at the Annual Golden High School Holiday Bazaar held by the GHS PTA.

With plenty to choose from and a variety of goods from over 70 different vendors, you can make a big dent on your holiday shopping list.

This is a fundraiser for the students at Golden High School, helping with scholarships, grants, and more.

The Bazaar will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 at Golden High School, 701 24th St. Includes free parking and admission.

Jackson Street Corridor Plan Open House @ Council Chambers
