Community Pride Days

Community Pride DaysGolden Community Pride Days are a great opportunity to do a little spring cleaning and get rid of some of the bigger items that normally require a disposal fee.

When: Saturday, May 18 & Sunday, May 19, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Where: City Shops, 1300 Catamount Drive

Please remember that you MUST have a current driver’s license with your address in order to participate. The address needs to be within the City limits of Golden. To find out if your address qualifies, use the Jefferson County Address Wizard. For common household waste, please use your regular trash services. As always, there are certain rules, so please be aware of the following:

Community Pride Days will accept:

  • Electronic Waste (anything with a cord)
  • Limited paper shredding (ONLY available on May 18, NONE on May 19 – 4 boxes maximum allowed, remove all paper clips & staples. If you have additional boxes of documents to be shredded, a 9NEWS Shred-a-thon takes place on May 18 as well, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, 200 Jefferson Co. Pkwy)
  • Mattresses & box springs
  • Metal recycling
  • Tires (Car tires only, limit four per household)
  • Tree brush & debris
  • Yard waste or lumber materials

Items NOT accepted

  • Propane tanks
  • Batteries
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Hazardous Waste
  • Fluorescent lights
  • Paint

NEW: FOOD DONATIONS WELCOME! Non-perishable food items will be donated to a local food bank.
