Community Pride Days

Bring your non-hazardous and unwanted junk for free disposal by the City!

When, Where & What?

  • Fall 2024, Date TBA
  • 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • 1300 Catamount Dr.

Guidelines

Participants will be required to show proof of residency at the gate in the form of a state-issued ID. City water bills will NOT be accepted as proof of residency.

Unsure if your residence is within city limits (some Golden mailing addresses are part of the County, not the City)? Check out Jeffco.us/awiz to find out for sure.

For customers of the City’s Pay-As-You-Throw program, there is no need to wait for Community Pride Days with the new large item pickup service. Just call Republic Services at 303-277-8727 to request a pickup of your large item at no additional cost to you. Open to every participating household, once per calendar year.

Community Pride Days will accept

  • Metal for recycling
  • Non-hazardous Waste
  • Electronic Waste

Items NOT Accepted

Don’t see the disposal service you need? Check out the Hard to Recycle Materials Guide to local recycling options for materials that are not commonly accepted in curbside waste programs. Because these vendors are not affiliated with the City and are privately owned operations, their information may change at any time. We suggest calling ahead.
