Citizen Surveys / Well-being Index

The City regularly seeks general community input regarding topics of interest to the community. Those surveys that seek general community input are detailed here. Specific project related surveys are located with the related department.

Well-being Index

The Well-being Index project is a community based project to understand and improve community well being as a further step in a healthy communities initiative. The data presented below for the well being index was collected throughout 2015 and the resulting information will become a valuable tool in determining and evaluating City projects and programs in this arena, but also for use by community partners in directing their projects and programs. One of the most significant project outcomes is the development and organization in this location of data that would assist the City and our partners in making high-impact decisions.

National Citizen Survey

The National Citizen Survey is a widely used method of measuring citizen opinion offered by the International City Management Association (ICMA) and the National Research Center, Inc. It is used to secure survey information related to general attitudes with a few opportunities for customized policy questions. City Council directed staff to initiate the survey in late 2015. The report, available for download below, will be used by City Council in setting future priorities.
