Monday, February 6, Golden City Manager Scott Vargo announced the appointment of Kasey Beal as Chief of the Golden Fire Department. Beal joined the Golden Fire Department as Deputy Chief of Operations in September 2021 and has served as Interim Fire Chief since September 2022. As Fire Chief, Beal will lead the team of 73 staff and volunteer firefighters who perform daily fire and rescue operations to keep the Golden community safe.
“Fire Chief Kasey Beal has nearly 30 years of diverse experience in the fire service, holding leadership roles for more than half of those years,” said Scott Vargo, Golden City Manager. “The City of Golden and the Golden Fire Department are fortunate to have an individual of Chief Beal’s caliber leading our fire service.”
Chief Beal’s varied experiences include working with larger agencies along with the Golden Fire Department and managing operations within career and combination departments in multiple states and even internationally. Beal holds BA in Emergency Services Administration, is a Paramedic, and holds both Chief Fire Officer and Executive Fire Administrator certifications.
