City of Golden LED Business Grant Program
Upgrading to energy-efficient lighting can be the easiest and quickest way to reduce monthly energy bills for any business. However, for busy entrepreneurs, there are many challenges that can delay being able to make decisions about lighting retrofit projects. The recent experiences of several local businesses considering lighting retrofits have shown that when owners are able to first try out LEDs in their store or office, they are more likely to decide to invest in the upgrades. To build on the success of this concept, the City of Golden Community Sustainability Advisory Board is providing grants to eligible businesses who have completed a LED lighting retrofit. A one-time $300 grant is available to City of Golden businesses that retrofit existing non-LED lighting fixtures to the LED technology. Often, the ROI of a complete lighting retrofit is less than one year. Interested businesses in the City of Golden area should download the City of Golden LED Business Grant Application for full details.
