Three public health departments serving more than 2 million residents across the Metro Denver region joined together to issue Stay-At-Home Public Health Orders in their counties, effective March 26 at 8 a.m. until April 17 unless officials determine it is in the interest of public health to expire at an earlier date and time.
Governor Polis also announced a statewide Stay-at-Home order effective March 26 through April 11.
Consistent with the new public health order from Jefferson County, the City is closing all playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic shelters and Fossil Trace Golf Course. The City parks themselves will remain open for the purposes of allowing essential exercise to the public, but only in groups of four or less, and everyone should maintain proper social distancing practices when meeting other individuals on trails and in parks.
