For years, the City of Golden has offered movie-lovers the Movies & Music in the Park series. It’s 2022, and we’re changing things up this year! Instead of hosting all movies in August, we will host three movie nights over the course of the summer on July 15, August 12 and September 9. The free series will still be Friday nights in Parfet Park (10th Street and Washington Avenue) in downtown Golden.
The next film in the Movies & Music in the Park summer series happens on Friday, September 9, and we have just one question: “Who ya gonna call?!” Our favorite Ghostbusting crew is back in the 2021 reboot Ghostbusters: Afterlife, this time handing the Proton Packs and keys to Ecto-1 over to a new generation of young specter specialists.
But first, join us at 7 p.m. for the high-energy bluegrass of Ghost Town Drifters! The movie will follow around 8:30 p.m.
As always, bring a picnic or purchase food from on-site food trucks, but no alcohol please.
Prepare to get slimed! We’ll see you there…
Each evening of the summer series features free music and a family-friendly movie. Bands begin performing at 7 p.m. and the featured movie of the night begins at dusk, around 8:30 p.m. The movies are shown on a giant screen under the stars. Check out the schedule below and mark your calendar!
