Colorado UPK Information:
Universal Preschool (UPK) Colorado is a new program funded by the State of Colorado to ensure that every child in the year before they are eligible for kindergarten is eligible for 15 hours per week of state-funded, licensed preschool beginning in 2023-24 school year. This program is voluntary for both families and providers to participate in. It is a brand-new program and the rules for participants and providers are still being developed. At this time, Golden Community Preschool has chosen not to participate until more information is available about final rules, requirements, curriculum standards, enrollment processes, and enrollment priorities. We will continue to engage in the rule-making process with the Colorado Department of Early Childhood through 2023 as these rules are established. We will always keep our families updated on any future developments or changes in our program.
Any questions or concerns - Please feel free to contact Connie Kelly, Preschool Director at 303-384-8124, or email her at Connie Kelly
