Golden Summer Jam

 

Sponsored by the Golden Civic Foundation, Golden Summer Jam is fun evening for the whole family featuring performances from several all-ages bands with ties to Golden, including the Skeleton Dolls, Thunder & Rain, and Weatherbee and the Gnarbillys. Food and drink will be available for purchase.

This new summertime event was created with the idea of connecting Golden families and residents, and promoting community involvement while celebrating Golden’s small town, friendly atmosphere.

Tickets to the Golden Summer Jam are $15 for adults and free for children under 18 (admission for up to two children is free per family). Please note that there are a limited number of tickets that can be purchased so be sure to register early.  Each adult ticket comes with a free Colorado Native Pilsner beer thanks to AC Golden’s generous sponsorship.

This annual tradition raises money for the GFD while giving diners a tasty start to the day!

This is an all-you-can-eat buffet of deliciousness. Suggested donation is $7 for adults and $5 for kids under 12.

Fine Arts FestivalThe 27th Annual Golden Fine Arts Festival, presented by the Golden Chamber of Commerce, is one of the largest and most prestigious juried art shows in the country. The 2-day Festival features over 130 artists from 20 states, including many from Colorado. Artists will be juried in various media categories such as painting, sculpture, jewelry, and photography.

The GFAF has free admission and will include food vendors, live music, locally brewed beer, and free art activities for children. We invite you to join us for this wonderful art show located adjacent to beautiful Clear Creek.

Rescheduled: Hurricane Relief Benefit Concert @ Fossil Trace Golf Club

*Please note, this event was originally scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 24, but was rescheduled due to concerns about Sunday’s weather forecast.

Come to this free Hurricane Benefit concert this Friday, Sept 22 at Schnepf’s Restaurant at Fossil Trace Golf Club in Golden from 4 to 8 pm. There will be free Hors D’oeuvres, a dippin dots station, great music, cheap happy hour cocktails and an amazing silent auction.

This is not a stuffy benefit – wear your Hawaiian shirt and bring the family. It’s a party on the most gorgeous outdoor patio in Golden.

If you can’t come, please consider donating at  CoralCreekMusic.com. 100% of dollars raised will go directly to the folks on island who need it. We are working with two local organizations run by local people who are getting aid to those who need it in the form of medical supplies, water, food, tarps, building tools and more (VIStrong.org and US Virgin Islands Adopt A Family)

8th Annual Coyote Classic 5K & 1 Mile Run @ Shelton Elementary School

Coyote ClassicLooking for a fun run for the entire family? Don’t miss the 8th annual Coyote 5K Classic and 1 mile fun run on Sunday, October 1 in Golden, CO at 8:30 am. All proceeds benefit Shelton elementary school.

The 5k course is nestled next to Apex open space and has stunning views of Golden’s Table Mountains and Boulder’s Flatirons. The 5k starts and finishes at Shelton Elementary in Golden, CO. The course is hilly and challenging but will reward you with beautiful views. The 1-mile fun run will take place on Shelton Elementary school field and nearby park and bike trail.

Go Farm Golden Farming CooperativeEnjoy a delicious four-course meal made with ingredients from our local farming partners and prepared in collaboration with local chefs and restaurateurs.

Black & White Night at GHM @ Golden History Museum

Black & White NightCelebrate Golden History Museum with delicious food from the Old Capitol Grill & Smokehouse, cocktails and entertainment at the annual Black & White Night event. Normally, Black & White Night coincides with the opening of a new exhibit, but this year, we’ll be giving a fond send off to three exhibits as we prepare for renovation construction at the museum. Get a glimpse of construction plans, discover newly acquired artifacts, and join the excitement as we prepare to undergo a complete transformation of the Museum!
