Presented by Mopar Parts and in cooperation with Mile High Nationals at Bandimere Speedway, the Mopar Big Block Party kicks off Mile High Nationals NHRA racing weekend in downtown Golden. Race car driver are presented for public autographs and local car clubs display their cars.
Enjoy live music, concept cars, and local car displays. Food and beer will also be available for purchase.
The Golden City Council may meet in study session when necessary. These meetings are informational only and no public hearing or votes will take place. Regular Council meetings take place on the second and fourth Thursday of the month unless otherwise noted on the calendar.

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board was created in 1982 in order to increase community involvement, and to advise Golden City Council and staff on how to best provide safe and comprehensive parks and recreation facilities, programs, and services on behalf of all current and future residents of the City of Golden.
The board consists of seven members and one alternate who serve four-year terms, making suggestions about policies and procedures, fees and charges, acceptance of park land, design of parks, and other projects relating to the Parks and Recreation Department.
The board meets regularly at 7 p.m. in the Community Center on the third Tuesday of each month. For more information, please visit our Parks and Recreation Advisory Board page. The Local Liquor Licensing Authority meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise noted. These meetings are open to the public and take place in City Council Chambers, 911 10th Street at 2:30 p.m.
The Board is comprised of a Hearing Officer, who is appointed by City Council.

The mission of the Community Sustainability Advisory Board (CSAB) is to assist the City of Golden in achieving the ten-year sustainability goals. In order to facilitate achievement of these goals, the Board will lead, encourage, enable, and empower the citizens, visitors, and people who work in Golden, to live in a sustainable manner.
The Community Sustainability Advisory Board meets the fourth Wednesday of each month in Council Chambers from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Meetings are open to the public.

This is an all-you-can-eat buffet of deliciousness. Suggested donation is $7 for adults and $5 for kids under 12.

The Planning Commission, established in 1948, affords residents the opportunity to actively participate in the planning of the City and its welfare; to learn all facets of the regulations governing such functions; interact with a wide variety of citizens participating in the shaping of Golden’s future; and assume an active role in any regulation changes involving zoning and subdivision activity.
Planning Commission public hearings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers. Planning Commission Study Sessions recur on the third Wednesday of each month.

The Public Art Commission (PAC) has the responsibility of promoting, selecting, acquiring and maintaining public art in the fulfillment of the City’s Art in Public Places program.
PAC meets on the first Thursday of each month in City Hall Council Chambers at 911 10th Street, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. These meeting are open to the public.
