Join other climbing enthusiasts at the American Mountaineering Museum on June 1 from 3 to 9 p.m. for a festival celebrating all things climbing.
Enjoy games, tours of the American Mountaineering Museum, an Open Air Vendor Village, food trucks and local beverages.
The highlight of the event will be the induction of inspirational climbing heroes into the Hall of Mountaineering Excellence (H.o.M.E.).

The 3rd Annual Summer Jam, sponsored by the Golden Civic Foundation, features live music, food and fun for all ages. The goal of this summertime event is to connect with Golden families and residents, promote community involvement and celebrate Golden’s small town, friendly atmosphere.
The evening will feature live music by Dorado, Bowregard and The Great Salmon Famine, three bands with Golden connections. Attendees will also have the chance to explore the Colorado Railroad Museum’s scenic, 15-acre railyard that is home to more than 100 locomotives, passenger cars and cabooses. Guests can enjoy a ride on the Galloping Goose Railway and also delight in the charm of a fully operational miniature garden railway.
Local non-profit partners will be on-site to offer family-oriented activities including the Colorado Mountain Club with their popular Bouldering Bus and the Golden Backpack Program and The Drake Durkee Foundation who have partnered to provide a Bouncy House for the evening. Food and beverage will be sold by New Terrain Brewing Co. (beer), Ace Liquor (wine), Bob’s Atomic Burgers, the Crock Spot and Mooontime Crepes food trucks.
Tickets to the Golden Summer Jam are $20 for adults and free for youth under 18 (maximum 2 free per family) and are available online. Each adult ticket includes one complimentary New Terrain beer. Event proceeds will support the Golden Civic Foundation, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization. All ticket sales are final and tickets to this event are non-refundable.
Come out to celebrate with the 48th annual Lions Club Fourth of July celebration in Lions Park.
Enjoy the day in the park, listening to the great line up of live music provided by the Lions Club. Pack your own picnic or purchase food and drink in the park. Sangria and wine will be available from Bonacquisti Wines, Denver’s urban winery. Remember that outside alcohol may not be brought into or consumed in the park.
Don’t forget to get your raffle tickets for the many great prizes donated by generous community partners and merchants to the Lions Club. All the proceeds go to fund the many community projects the Lions Club does for the community. Friendly and leashed dogs are welcome.
The fun starts at 11 a.m. and doesn’t end until the fireworks display begins, approximately 9:30 p.m., weather and fire conditions permitting.

- If you are planning to bring your own grill, please be aware of park rules governing the use of grills in Lions Park: Use of a portable propane camp stove is permitted if the stove’s propane tank has a capacity of 2 pounds or less. Ordinance No: 2046.
- Smoking, vaping and the use of electronic smoking devices is not permitted in any Golden Park or recreation facility.
- Dogs must be kept on leashes and the person having the charge of the animal must immediately pick up the poop and dispose of it appropriately.
Join in a week-long celebration of the arts! ARTSWEEK GOLDEN includes activites that will take place throughout Golden such as yarn-bombing of Golden sculptures, performance art, sidewalk chalk masterpieces, plein air painting, and much more.
The festival will culminate in the Foothills Fine Arts Festival with more than 100 national artists exhibiting their works in downtown Golden at Arapahoe and 12th Street.

Dress up your pup and join about 2,000 other animal lovers for a parade and fair in downtown Golden.
Hundreds of pups in costume will stroll down Washington Avenue and end in Parfet Park for a family-friendly fair.
The parade is free to watch, while parade entrants are $25 per pup. Proceeds of this annual event benefit the more than 12,000 animals that Foothills Animal Shelter cares for annually.
