The Historic Preservation Board has a number of responsibilities regarding the preservation and upkeep of Golden’s many historic sites.

The Board meets on the first Monday evening of each month in public hearing in the City Council Chambers at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted on the calendar. Study sessions may be scheduled the third Monday of each month.

Mobility & Transportation Advisory Board Study Session @ Public Works and Planning Building

The Mobility & Transportation Advisory Board offers a venue to evaluate the relationship between mobility of all types and the economy, sustainability, safety, land use, neighborhood integrity, and emergency response times; and study the importance of transportation access to health care, employment, education, housing, business, and recreational facilities.

The MTAB will meet in study session on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Public Works Building unless otherwise noted.

Women Who Startup imageWomen Who Startup (WWS) is launching Basecamp Jeffco at Connects Workspace, 1301 Arapahoe St Suite 105, Golden, on April 2, 6 – 8 p.m. Basecamp Jeffco will shine a spotlight on women entrepreneurs and innovators in Jefferson County and build a supportive community around the community’s Women Who Startup, those who work for them, support them, invest in them, and mentor them.

Planning Commission Meeting @ Council Chambers

The Planning Commission, established in 1948, affords residents the opportunity to actively participate in the planning of the City and its welfare; to learn all facets of the regulations governing such functions; interact with a wide variety of citizens participating in the shaping of Golden’s future; and assume an active role in any regulation changes involving zoning and subdivision activity.

Planning Commission public hearings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers. Planning Commission Study Sessions recur on the third Wednesday of each month.

Public Art Commission Meeting @ Council Chambers

The Public Art Commission (PAC) has the responsibility of promoting, selecting, acquiring and maintaining public art in the fulfillment of the City’s Art in Public Places program.

PAC meets on the first Thursday of each month in City Hall Council Chambers at 911 10th Street, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. These meeting are open to the public.

Coffee with a Councilor @ Home of Patrick and Lisa Vitry

Councilors Casey Brown and Saoirse Charis-Graves have combined forces for Coffee with a Councilor in 2019 including both north and south neighborhoods. This is a great opportunity to discuss any issue related to the “good of Golden.”

CWAC will meet on Saturday, April 6 at 10 a.m. at the home of Patrick and Lisa Vitry, 618 Golden Eagle Circle.

This free academy is held once a month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the second Monday of every month in the Golden Fire Department. You may attend one, several or all sessions.
