Doing business in Golden helps our entire community by providing jobs, supporting local business owners, and stimulating the economy. It’s a perfect chance to support your city and help Golden thrive while also finding great gifts for your friends, family, and for you.

Stop by Visit Golden’s Shop Small Welcome Station from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 30 to pick up a tote bag and sip a hot drink before experiencing all of Golden’s five shopping areas. The welcome station will be located in front of the Golden Visitors Center, 1010 Washington Ave. (weather permitting) and will be marked by balloons.

2019 Candlelight Walk @ Foothills Art Center

Candlelight WalkExperience the beauty of the holiday season as you walk through downtown Golden, candle in hand, singing holiday carols during this annual tradition. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand for photos before the walk, then gather at 6 p.m. at the Foothills Art Center, 809 15th St. on Friday, December 6. The walk begins at 6:30 p.m. down to the Visitors Center for a holiday show, the countdown to the lighting of the lights by Mayor Marjorie Sloan, and a short fireworks display from the roof of the Golden Hotel.

Enjoy the lights that will shine all along Washington Avenue and Clear Creek, along with various activities for everyone to enjoy.

Coffee with Councilors @ Harmony Village Common House

Chat with your District councilors for the final Coffee with Councilors meeting of the year on December 7 at 10 a.m. in the Harmony Village Common House at 1001 Cottonwood Circle. Please park on Illinois St. and walk a short distance to the Common House which is located in the center of Harmony Village.

This is a great opportunity to connect with City Councilors about the issues important to you in the community. It’s also a good opportunity to wish Councilor Saoirse Charis Graves well and thank her for two terms of dedicated service as District 1 Golden City Councilor. JJ Trout will be sworn into office as the District 1 City Councilor in January.

GHS Holiday Bazaar 2019 @ Golden High School

Hoiday Bazaar flyer with snowmen. December 7, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.Come do some Christmas Shopping at the Annual Golden High School Holiday Bazaar held by the PTA of Golden High. With one-of-a-kind gifts from over 90 different local artists, you can make a big dent on your holiday shopping list.

This is a fund raiser for the students at Golden High School, helping with scholarships, after prom party, grants, and more.

The Holiday Bazaar will be held at the Golden High School, 701 24th St, Golden on Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Includes free parking and admission.
