The Golden Safety Academy was created to help educate and empower citizens with information and resources that enhance their personal safety and crime prevention. This year the Golden Gallop will offer a HYBRID event, with an in-person race on September 19, or an option to complete a race during a ‘virtual’ race window from Sept. 11 to Sept. 19. Choose from multiple race options, including a Kid’s Fun Run, a 5K and a 10K. Whether in-person or virtual, kids, families, and friends from all over are encouraged to participate. The event raises funds for the Golden Schools Foundation which provides educational funding for seven Golden articulation schools.

Join us on March 10 at 5 p.m. for a virtual community meeting to discuss the CoorsTek rezoning application to Planning Commission.
This meeting will include a staff overview of the project, the area, and a timeline of the process. The applicant will present the zoning request and provide details on each topical section of the zoning request. There will be a Q&A for each topic area so that the public can have a direct dialog with the applicant. This meeting will be recorded.
