When the City of Golden bought the old Coors building at 311 10th St, we were left with a lot of extra furniture! Since we plan to demolish the building, we need to get rid of everything inside; and we want our community to get first pick! Stop by from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 10 for a community yard sale. Items for sale include office chairs, filing cabinets, bookcases, office tables, café tables and chairs, and more. The first several customers will also receive a free white board with purchase.
Please note attendees must wear a mask covering their nose and mouth. We will only accept credit/debit cards or exact change (items are marked at $5, $10, $15 or $25 with sales tax included) at this event to minimize contact and social distancing measures will be in place.
If you would rather do your yard sale shopping online, we have items posted on GovDeals. Just search for Golden, CO.
The Planning Commission, established in 1948, affords residents the opportunity to actively participate in the planning of the City and its welfare; to learn all facets of the regulations governing such functions; interact with a wide variety of citizens participating in the shaping of Golden’s future; and assume an active role in any regulation changes involving zoning and subdivision activity.
Planning Commission Study Sessions recur on the third Wednesday of each month. Study Sessions are open to the public, but are for information only, and no public hearings or votes will take place during the meeting. To participate in a Planning Commission public hearing, those meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. (unless otherwise noted).

Golden Police Chief Bill Kilpatrick and Golden City Manager Jason Slowinski invite you to a virtual listening session focused on the topic of Racial Equity issues at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29. The primary goal of the session is to listen to questions, suggestions, feedback, and stories from the community to create better understanding between the city and community members, particularly community members of color. Golden Police strives for our residents, visitors, and college students from across the globe to feel safe and welcome. This virtual event is one of our first steps in the process to make Golden a more welcoming place.
