In-person 2020 Election Voting
Nov 2 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

If you have been waiting to vote in-person, you may do so at Golden City Hall, 911 10th Street from from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, November 2 or from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3.

If you prefer to drop off your ballot, there are numerous ballot drop boxes in Jefferson County, including the 24-Hour Ballot Drop Box located at Golden City Hall, 911 10th Street. Your ballot MUST be received by 7 p.m. on November 3.

Historic Preservation Board Meeting @ Virtual Meeting
Nov 2 @ 6:30 pm

The Historic Preservation Board has a number of responsibilities regarding the preservation and upkeep of Golden’s many historic sites.

The Board meets on the first Monday evening of each month in public hearing at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted on the calendar. Study sessions may be scheduled the third Monday of each month.

Today is Election Day!

Golden United Housing Task Force Meeting @ Virtual Meeting

Planning Commission Meeting @ Virtual Meeting
Nov 4 @ 6:30 pm

The Planning Commission, established in 1948, affords residents the opportunity to actively participate in the planning of the City and its welfare; to learn all facets of the regulations governing such functions; interact with a wide variety of citizens participating in the shaping of Golden’s future; and assume an active role in any regulation changes involving zoning and subdivision activity.

Planning Commission public hearings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Planning Commission Study Sessions recur on the third Wednesday of each month.

Public Art Commission Meeting @ Virtual Meeting

The Public Art Commission (PAC) has the responsibility of promoting, selecting, acquiring and maintaining public art in the fulfillment of the City’s Art in Public Places program.

PAC meets on the first Thursday of each month from 9 to 10:30 a.m. These meeting are open to the public.

Fall Yard Waste Collection
Nov 9 all-day

Yard Waste Collection DaysThis Fall, the curbside yard waste collection dates for Pay as You Throw (PAYT) program customers will occur on your normal service day during the week of November 9 to 13. For more details, please see our guidelines for collection.

To receive updates regarding the City’s waste and recycling service, please subscribe to our email reminders for one day delays for holiday weeks, severe weather notifications, or service delays that may affect your recycling and garbage collection. This email service is only for City of Golden program customers.

Please see our service calendar pdf download for alternating recycling and compost weeks and remember to have your carts out by 7 a.m. on your day of service.
