The City of Golden is kicking off a project to plan and design transportation improvements along US 40 (West Colfax Avenue) between Violet Street and I-70. This project aims to enhance transportation choices and connectivity while increasing safety.
Community members will have the opportunity to learn about the project and provide feedback regarding their vision for the corridor during the project’s first open house, being held online at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 29. Don’t miss the Golden Sidewalk Sale in beautiful downtown Golden. Roam Washington Avenue and stroll up and down the side streets looking for shops sporting balloons signaling a sale. Golden’s mostly locally-owned stores are going all out for this event with great prices on everything from outdoor gear and jewelry to clothing and artisan crafts. Get to Golden early for the best selection. The sale is citywide and most Downtown Golden merchants are participating. With a wide variety of shops and restaurants offering sidewalk sales and outdoor dining, there is no better time to visit Golden and get a jump on holiday shopping.
Did we mention the fun? Because this year, you’ll also enjoy entertainment including a mobile bubble tower, face painting, and paint a pumpkin kit for kids (while supplies last), making the Golden Sidewalk Sale perfect for free family amusement. Families can also enjoy the premier of Colorado Railroad Museum’s Day Out With Thomas event.
