Metro Denver Green Homes Tour & Special Events

Metro Denver Green Homes Tour logoSign up for the Metro Denver Green Homes Tour happening Saturday, Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to visit over a dozen homes that showcase solutions and ideas for conserving energy and growing a more sustainable community.

There are a lot of events planned all day Saturday! Tour a “Tiny Home” at the American Mountaineering Center then stick around for a reception and Green Expo with food, drink and live music! You can also visit a “Growing Dome” and an “Electric Vehicle Round-Up” at other Golden locations.

Visit the Metro Denver Green Homes website to get tickets for the tour and to see a list with times and locations of all the additional free events happening that day.

Autumn Fest is a free celebration of Golden featuring hands-on activities for the whole family, including crafts, big trucks, and even farm animals. Join us to welcome the fall season at Golden History Museum (923 10th St.)

Public Art Commission Meeting @ Council Chambers

The Public Art Commission (PAC) has the responsibility of promoting, selecting, acquiring and maintaining public art in the fulfillment of the City’s Art in Public Places program.

PAC meets on the first Thursday of each month from 9 to 10:30 a.m. These meeting are open to the public.

A Spooktacular Event! @ Colorado School of Mines Earth Science Museum

Two boys work on a pumpkin with play tools.The Mines Museum of Earth Science is having their annual Spoooktacular event on October 15th, 2022, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Spooktacular is a super fun, FREE, blue pumpkin trick or treat event. People can come in their favorite costumes, enjoy STEM themed hands-on activities (and treats), win prizes, and take pictures with Ms. Colorado herself!

Golden’s Housing Needs Assessment Community Meeting

The City of Golden, in partnership with Golden United Housing Task Force, is hosting a community meeting to help citizens learn more about the data, findings, and recommendations from the “2022 Housing Needs and Strategy Assessment“.

Both in-person and virtual options are available.

The meeting is at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 in the Golden Community Center, 1470 10th St., Golden.

Learn more and register if you plan to attend. Registration is not mandatory, but will help organizers in planning the event.
