The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is a special district entity authorized and directed by state statute to benefit the economic and community vitality of the downtown area. The DDA will also be authorized to provide tax increment economic incentives to eligible redevelopment projects, much like GURA was able to do in the past.
The DDA meets the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted on the calendar to accommodate holidays or other scheduling conflicts.

The Local Licensing Authority meets on the third Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noted. These meetings begin at 2:30 p.m.
The Board is comprised of a Hearing Officer, who is appointed by City Council.

The mission of the Community Sustainability Advisory Board (CSAB) is to assist the City of Golden in achieving the ten-year sustainability goals. In order to facilitate achievement of these goals, the Board will lead, encourage, enable, and empower the citizens, visitors, and people who work in Golden, to live in a sustainable manner.
The Community Sustainability Advisory Board will meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., unless rescheduled for holidays or a lack of quorum. Meetings are open to the public.

The Mobility & Transportation Advisory Board offers a venue to evaluate the relationship between mobility of all types and the economy, sustainability, safety, land use, neighborhood integrity, and emergency response times; and study the importance of transportation access to health care, employment, education, housing, business, and recreational facilities.
MTAB meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
After feedback from an initial discussion with City Council on February 14th, the Community Sustainability Advisory Board and Planning Commission have scheduled a series of public meetings to receive community input about several topics regarding the Roadmap to Net Zero Buildings project.
Interested members of the public are welcome to attend and provide input at the following opportunities. Planning Commission and CSAB are also expected to schedule discussions at their regular meetings in April. All of the following meetings will take place in Council Chambers at 911 10th St.
- Monday, March 27 (6 – 8:30 p.m.): Solar photovoltaic system requirements for proposed new building construction. Considerations for onsite placement and offsite options such as a cash-in-lieu program, community solar garden subscriptions and relief from solar requirements. March 27 Meeting Agenda
- Monday, April 3 (6 – 8:30 p.m.): Exemptions from proposed all-electric construction requirements, potential criteria for a hardship definition, and alternative compliance pathways. April 3 Meeting Agenda
- Tuesday, April 18 (6 – 8:30 p.m.): Applicability and definition of “new construction.” Consideration of building additions and remodels. April 18 Meeting Agenda

Join city staff on Thursday, March 30 in Golden City Council Chambers (911 10th St.) from 6 to 7:30 p.m. to hear about strategies that the City of Golden deployed in the past few summers to ensure a safe experience and to manage high visitation along Clear Creek during the summer season.
