Colorado Cowboy Poetry Gathering 2018Come out to the annual Colorado Cowboy Poetry Gathering (CCG) in Golden, Colorado, January 19 – 21, 2017 for a celebration of western heritage. Coffee with a Councilor – North Neighborhoods @ Councilor Casey Brown's Home

This is a great opportunity to talk with a representative and residents of the North Neighborhoods, as well as any issue related to the “good of Golden.”

This year, Councilor Brown is offering a new program called “Councilor in your kitchen” where residents are asked to host Councilor Brown and their neighbors for CWAC. If folks will volunteer the use of their home on a Saturday morning, Councilor Casey Brown will show up with coffee and be ready to chat! Anyone interested in hosting a CWAC this year can call Casey Brown at (303) 900-2003 or by email at cbrown@cityofgolden.net.

To kick things off, the first CWAC for January will be at the home of Councilor Brown at 1310 Cody Trail at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018. All are welcome!

Mobility & Transportation Advisory Board Meeting @ Public Works Building

The Mobility & Transportation Advisory Board (MTAB) is a citizen advisory board focused on mobility and transportation issues in the City of Golden. The main duties of the board include traffic operations, school zone safety, traffic calming, planning and funding priorities for transportation and mobility capital improvements, and parking management systems.

Additionally, MTAB will have various advisory and collaborative duties dealing with transportation and mobility.

As a newly formed board, this first meeting will largely consist of housekeeping items such as schedule, introductions, electing a chair and vice chair, and preliminary discussions about bylaws, goals, and so forth.

Downtown Development Authority Meeting @ Council Chambers

The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is a special district entity authorized and directed by state statute to benefit the economic and community vitality of the downtown area. The DDA will also be authorized to provide tax increment economic incentives to eligible redevelopment projects, much like GURA was able to do in the past.

The DDA meets on the third Monday of each month (unless otherwise noted on the calendar) at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.

CANCELED: Community Sustainability Advisory Board Retreat @ Fossil Trace Golf Course Clubhouse

The mission of the Community Sustainability Advisory Board (CSAB) is to assist the City of Golden in achieving the ten-year sustainability goals. In order to facilitate achievement of these goals, the Board will lead, encourage, enable, and empower the citizens, visitors, and people who work in Golden, to live in a sustainable manner.

The Community Sustainability Advisory Board will meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., unless rescheduled for holidays or a lack of quorum. Meetings are open to the public. The first meeting of the year is the board retreat at the Fossil Trace Golf Course clubhouse.

Golden Investment Forum Task Force Meeting @ Council Chambers
