The final public meeting to see results of the Heritage Road engineering study, originally to take place on February 6 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Shelton Elementary Library, has been postponed. Please watch our Community Calendar for the new date when it has been decided. We will also announce the new date on Facebook.

The Golden Investment Forum Task Force will host a community Open House on March 14, 4:30 to 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers to kick off the community engagement focus of the project.

The Open House is expected to include information on the types of potential investment projects the Task Force is researching under their duties as assigned by Council.

What:  Public Open House session for Mines Master Plan project
When: April 19, 2018, 5:30 –7 p.m.
Where:  Starzer Welcome Center – 1812 Illinois Street

The public is invited to an open house to offer input into the Mines Master Plan. The video presents the alternative development concepts that have emerged from our earlier master planning meetings. Anyone planning to come to the meeting is encouraged to watch the entire video in advance to prepare for discussion at the meeting.

At this session, the public is invited to comment on alternatives to the physical plan. The alternatives in the video were derived from campus and public input compiled during the previous months. This session is geared towards receiving input from the City of Golden and the public at large.

The Public Art Commission (PAC) invites the community to Foothills Art Center on Wednesday, July 18 at 6 p.m., to meet commission members, discuss current and future projects, and give input on the public art process and direction in Golden.

This event is free to the public and light refreshments will be provided.

VAN-DEMONIUM is your chance to drool over vans and draw inspiration for your own adventure rig! Adventure rigs come in many shapes and sizes—from Sprinters with all the bells and whistles to the family mini-van with a home done conversion. This event will have vans on vans, plus beer, live music, games, and raffles so there’s something for every member of the family.

Hosted by Foothills Climbing Community, in partnership with American Mountaineering Museum. Beer from 14er Brewing Company. Vans from TouRig, Vanworks, and more.

The Colorado School of Mines will conduct the next and final Neighborhood Open House to present the draft of the Mines Master Plan. Please join us to see how the campus will evolve over the coming years.

By joining the GFD, you learn much more than how to put out fires. You will learn medical rescue techniques, high angle rescue, swift water and ice rescue, how to save people from car crashes, and much more. You will be helping your neighbors, friends and fellow residents in one of the most long-standing and honorable ways possible for Golden volunteers.

Do you want to learn more about what it takes and if you would be the right fit for the GFD? Join us for one of two open houses to meet the staff and volunteers and get all of your questions answered. Come enjoy free food and refreshments and let us get to know you! The Golden Planning Division will host a Community Open House event regarding the Transportation Master Plan. A project vision, project goals and project objective were developed and now the City needs citizen input.
