Come do some Christmas Shopping at the Annual Golden High School Holiday Bazaar held by the PTA of Golden High. With one-of-a-kind gifts from over 90 different local artists, you can make a big dent on your holiday shopping list.
This is a fund raiser for the students at Golden High School, helping with scholarships, after prom party, grants, and more.
The Holiday Bazaar will be held at the Golden High School, 701 24th St, Golden on Saturday, December 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Includes free parking and admission.
No need to wait until midnight to celebrate the new Year! It’s already 2019 for much of the world; come celebrate with Paris’s countdown at the Golden Library with crafts, games and music for the whole family from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The Colorado Arts & Crafts Society presents a day of demonstrations, workshops and presentations from local artisans. There will also be an opportunity to purchase artists’ wares, including everything from ceramics to jewelry to woodwork.
This year, vendors will include Annalee’s Naturals, Beth Bradford Studio, Black Birch Studio, Book Arts League, The Bungalow Craft By Julie Leidel, Chinook Pottery, Colorado Calligraphers’ Guild, Colorado Woodworkers Guild, Golden Moon Distillery, Guild of Bookworkers, Handweavers Guild of Boulder; Julie Fletcher Interior Design, Mission West, Nikki Nienhuis Fine Art, Rocky Mountain Marquetry Guild, Rocky Mountain Metalsmiths, Rocky Mountain Silk Painters, Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists and 2R Fine Arts Appraisals.

Curious about what research goes on in your backyard? The Graduate Student Government at Mines invites the Golden Community to join them for Graduate Research and Discovery Symposium at Mines, or GRADS.
Learn about research being conducted at Mines by more than 170 undergraduate and graduate students. Attend oral presentations and poster sessions. Refreshments will be served and attendance is free.
Join in a week-long celebration of the arts! ARTSWEEK GOLDEN includes activites that will take place throughout Golden such as yarn-bombing of Golden sculptures, performance art, sidewalk chalk masterpieces, plein air painting, and much more.
The festival will culminate in the Foothills Fine Arts Festival with more than 100 national artists exhibiting their works in downtown Golden at Arapahoe and 12th Street.

Now in its 36th Year, Leadership Golden is accepting applications for the 2019-20 Program. This tuition-free program provides local learning about Golden with 11 sessions that run from Sept. 7 to May 7, 2020. Topics include Golden history, government, public works, finance, growth and development, education, arts and recreation, and the justice system. The established art fair will be limited to 136 artists selected through a competitive jury process. Cash prizes are awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners in nine categories, as well as Best of Show and Best of Colorado honors.
