On Wednesday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m., the City of Golden will host refining workshops in City Council Chambers to discuss Heart of Golden 2020 and the Clear Creek Corridor.
This workshop will begin with a project update and will have a feedback activity, which will allow direct community comments and suggestions.
The key questions for the community to address at this workshop are:
- What do you like most about each option presented?
- What do you like least?
- What is missing?
Join us for this unique opportunity to help plan the future and create a legacy in the heart of Golden. Learn more about the project on GuidingGolden.com.
Join the Golden Planning Division on December 1 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for a virtual community meeting to discuss a 2020 update of the South Golden Neighborhoods Plan.
Staff will review the results of our summer surveys and take additional feedback from attendees. This will be the perfect opportunity to get involved with the project, even if you missed the initial surveys; there will be additional questions to refine our understanding of those initial results. Participants will be able to use interactive tools that will provide staff live feedback during the virtual meeting. We look forward to your participation!
Participants may also call-in for the meeting at +1-408-418-9388, using the access code: 146 739 4965.
The meeting will also be live-streamed on the Golden Meetings & Agendas page.

Community members will have the opportunity to learn about the project and provide feedback regarding their vision for the corridor during the project’s first open house, being held online at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 29. Initial community input will be used to help evaluate improvement alternatives.

Golden is already recognized as a regional cycling destination with access to the foothills. On summer weekends, thousands of residents and visitors enjoy walking through Downtown Golden and along Clear Creek. To address the needs of managing Golden’s growing popularity for pedestrians and bicyclists, Golden Planning staff, with the help of Muller Engineering, is working to develop a Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan that will provide the groundwork to ensure everyone—residents, visitors and commuters—has access to safe and efficient multimodal travel. More than just infrastructure, the Plan will focus on expanding our walking and biking culture through partnerships, programs and policy.
We want to hear from our community as we kick off this effort. Join us for a Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan Open House on Tuesday, August 30 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Council Chambers. You can also take a survey and get involved on GuidingGolden.com.
