Come do some Christmas Shopping at the Annual Golden High School Holiday Bazaar held by the PTA of Golden High. With one-of-a-kind gifts from over 90 different local artists, you can make a big dent on your holiday shopping list.
This is a fund raiser for the students at Golden High School, helping with scholarships, after prom party, grants, and more.
The Holiday Bazaar will be held at the Golden High School, 701 24th St, Golden on Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Includes free parking and admission.
A Jefferson Symphony tradition and audience highlight continues with the JSO Holiday Concert. JSO musicians share the stage with vocalists Christie Conover and James Baumgardner in December and return to the newly designed Green Center at Colorado School of Mines. Howard Hanson’s musical homage to the 19th-century “Symphony No. 2 (Romantic)” is programmed alongside Peter Boyer’s bold and brassy “Festivities.”

Celebrate women at the 5th annual Jeffco International Women’s Day on March 3 at Baldoria on the Water, 146 Van Gordon Street in Lakewood. The event is sponsored by SCL Health Lutheran and the City of Golden, with additional corporate sponshorships from Genesee Mountain Foundation, IX Power Clean Water, and corporate contributor, Coach Stacy’s Healthy U. Proceeds will benefit Porchlight Family Justice Center and the Jefferson County Library Foundation.
CU Regent Heidi Ganahl & founder of “Camp Bow Wow” will be the keynote speaker at this event during lunch. The winner of the “Unsung Heroine” Award will be announced as well, and Marjorie Sloan will be presented with the “Shattered Glass” Award. A Golden icon for three decades, Golden Fine Arts Festival is a prestigious juried art show located in the heart of historic downtown Golden, Colorado happening August 21-22.
With its prime location just 20 minutes west of Metro Denver and free admission to the public, this premier event traditionally draws over 30,000 visitors (pre-COVID) over 2 days to enjoy art, live entertainment, beer and wine gardens, and food vendors.
The event, rich in community tradition and a well-established reputation, is limited to 100 artist booth spaces. If social distancing restrictions are in place, booth spaces may be limited further. Artists are selected through a competitive jury process selected by art professionals. Traditionally, over half of participating artists travel to Golden from outside of the state of Colorado. Colorado is also home to many talented artists who participate at the event each year. Don’t miss the Golden Sidewalk Sale in beautiful downtown Golden. Roam Washington Avenue and stroll up and down the side streets looking for shops sporting balloons signaling a sale. Golden’s mostly locally-owned stores are going all out for this event with great prices on everything from outdoor gear and jewelry to clothing and artisan crafts. Get to Golden early for the best selection. The sale is citywide and most Downtown Golden merchants are participating. With a wide variety of shops and restaurants offering sidewalk sales and outdoor dining, there is no better time to visit Golden and get a jump on holiday shopping.

Because this year, you’ll also enjoy entertainment including a mobile bubble tower, face painting, and paint a pumpkin kit for kids (while supplies last), making the Golden Sidewalk Sale perfect for free family amusement. This year the Golden Gallop will offer a HYBRID event, with an in-person race on September 19, or an option to complete a race during a ‘virtual’ race window from Sept. 11 to Sept. 19. Choose from multiple race options, including a Kid’s Fun Run, a 5K and a 10K. Whether in-person or virtual, kids, families, and friends from all over are encouraged to participate. The event raises funds for the Golden Schools Foundation which provides educational funding for seven Golden articulation schools.
